My parents used to say I should have become a politician since I always managed to find narratives to support my case.

Thanks to my passion for animals and nature and curiosity about societal issues, I found a better use for my communication skills.

My first experience of witnessing the power of communication came from volunteering for a UK-based NGO fighting against factory farming while studying to become an agriculture engineer as a first career choice to pursue my childhood dream of working with horses.

This gave me a chance to understand what it takes to raise awareness about lesser-known issues, use communication as a force for change, and consider long-term impact rather than one-off campaigns.

After leading one of the most prominent equestrian centres in Hungary for five years, I circled back to communication and gained an MBA in Marketing Strategy.

My professional career shifted towards value-driven marketing, and I started to work on projects revolving around sustainability - which was perceived more as a tree-hugger movement back in the day.

I was lucky to have worked with trailblazer international and national brands, organisations, and projects in the past 15 years so I could witness and drive the movement that has brought sustainability and climate action to the forefront today. Although, the fight is far from being done in this space.

To actively drive change, I co-founded the Responsible Innovation Summit, an international conference we hosted for five years in Dublin after moving to Ireland in 2016.

However, the part I always enjoyed the most was researching, writing stories and exploring narratives, which led me to take a Postgraduate Course in Journalism.

Since then, I have worked with wonderful people on various projects, including collaborating for many years with Dublin City Council to promote sustainability and climate issues in the business sector and beyond while working as a freelance journalist and communication expert.

Besides shaping stories, I have been regularly invited as a guest lecturer on various topics, such as climate communication and impact reporting, at the Technological University Dublin, NGO Academy and other institutions.

I`m currently the managing editor of the Climate Journal news site and Profit with Purpose Magazine, and publish articles at various media outlets. I have recently won the best sustainability and climate communications award with one of my colleagues at the European Business Awards.

In my experience, one of the purest communication experiences is connecting with animals - in my case, horses. For me, this is an unvarnished, brutally honest and liberating form of communication where you can constantly learn and evolve. So, I really enjoy being involved with horse-assisted personal and team development training as part of our Beyond Knowledge Programme.

Only one situation can compete with this: communicating with my teenage daughter… and my husband, which keeps me on my toes.

My happy place besides writing is at the stable, at the beach or on the balcony with a view of green scenery.

I believe in the transformational power of communication and that every piece of content is an opportunity to spark change.
